E-Commerce Bookkeeper and Accountant


Job Description

FY International is seeking a highly motivated accountant who oversees the company’s accounting and financial processes, and provides day-to-day operational support to the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
Job duties include the input of daily accounting information to record and balance daily receipts in accordance with company standards. Related duties include accurate accounting of all sales transactions including, but not limited to, cash, non-cash, electronic payments, handling customer purchases and customer complaints and other accounting job duties as assigned.


  1. Prepare and analyze complex and a high volume of journal entries;
  2. Assess the compliance of company’s current operations and its existing accounting policies and procedures with U.S. GAAP;
  3. Ensure that consolidated financial reports are prepared according to International Financial Reporting Standards and insights on the numbers;
  4. Responsible for the timely and accurate period-end close process and driving continuous process improvement in operational and transactional processes;
  5. Integrate data from omnichannel e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Newegg, Walmart, eBay, etc.) into QuickBooks;
  6. Perform all areas of accounting entries: A/P, A/R, recurring transactions, journal entries, reporting;
  7. Perform bank and credit accounts reconciliations; identify and investigate unreconciled balances;
  8. Working closely with cross functional teams to identify systems and process gaps and help develop and maintain internal controls;
  9. Responsible for invoicing, budget planning, and analyzing financial result status and operating results;
  10. Assist in preparing budget plans for various projects, taking into account operating expenses, and creating periodic reports utilizing variance analysis to compare budgeted costs and actual costs;
  11. Prepare reporting packages showing the relationship between data and trends through analytic measures for upper management on decision making.


  1. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance;
  2. 3+ years of experience in business, accounting or financial positions;
  3. 2+ years of experience in warehouse;
  4. Minimal 5+ years of experience living in the States;
  5. Proficient in QuickBooks Online;
  6. Aptitude for learning and adapting to new Processes & Tools, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Strong Microsoft Excel skills, analytical skills a must;
  7. Expert knowledge with online file sharing platforms (Drive, Dropbox);
  8. Detailed administrative, organized, dependable, hardworking and able to handle multitask work as part of the team and at the same time work independently;
  9. Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy;
  10. Retail or E-commerce experience is strongly preferred;
  11. Salesforce, Jira experience, and ERP system experience plus;
  12. Excellent verbal and written communication, including conflict resolution and negotiation skills; excellent customer service skills;
