Amazon Business Reaches $60 Billion as B2B Buying Consolidates

Amazon

Amazon Business reached $60 billion in annualized gross sales in the second quarter of 2026 and now serves more than 11 million organizations worldwide. The milestone shows that business purchasing on Amazon is no longer a niche extension of consumer commerce; it is becoming a major procurement channel.

Amazon says more than 1.8 million organizations joined Amazon Business in the first half of 2026. Its business selection has also expanded by nearly 30% year over year, while tools such as Savings Insights and Spend Anomaly Monitoring are designed to help buyers identify savings and control purchasing.

For sellers, the practical opportunity is not simply to relabel a consumer listing as “business.” B2B buyers reward dependable replenishment, clear pack sizes, quantity discounts, accurate invoices, and products that fit approval rules. Sellers should review which SKUs naturally support repeat workplace demand, then build pricing tiers and inventory plans around predictable order quantities.

The growth of guided buying and spend analysis also raises the cost of weak catalog data. Precise specifications, compatibility details, case quantities, and consistent variation structures can determine whether an item is easy for procurement teams to compare and approve. Operators should audit their most relevant listings from a buyer’s workflow: discovery, approval, purchase, delivery, and reorder.

The broader lesson is that Amazon’s B2B channel favors operational discipline. Sellers that can maintain stock, protect margins at volume, and reduce purchasing friction are better positioned than those relying only on consumer-style promotions.
