NVIDIA Ships DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction as RTX Ecosystem Tops 1,000 Titles
Tech
NVIDIA used Gamescom 2026 to release DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction for GeForce RTX GPUs and announce that its RTX ecosystem now spans more than 1,000 games and applications. The update replaces conventional hand-tuned ray-tracing denoisers with a second-generation transformer model designed to produce more accurate lighting, steadier images and clearer detail in motion.
The launch matters beyond a single graphics setting. NVIDIA says the updated model processes 35% more input data and uses 20% more parameters within a similar compute budget to the prior generation. Initial support covers 27 games, including major catalog titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, Hogwarts Legacy and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. NVIDIA is distributing the feature across the GeForce RTX family through its software ecosystem rather than reserving it for only the newest cards.
What sellers and operators should do
For gaming-PC and laptop merchants, the practical opportunity is a merchandising refresh rather than an immediate hardware reset. Product pages can explain that supported RTX systems gain a visible image-quality feature through software, while comparison charts should separate Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution and Frame Generation instead of presenting “DLSS 4.5” as one undifferentiated claim.
Retailers should also audit listings that promise support. Compatibility depends on the game and feature, so each claim should link to NVIDIA’s current support list and avoid implying universal benefits across every title. Demonstration content is most useful when it pairs the same scene and settings before and after the update; that gives buyers a clearer reason to value RTX capability than raw specification tables alone.
The 1,000-title milestone also broadens the bundle story. Operators can group supported games, monitors and RTX laptops or desktops around use cases such as cinematic single-player gaming and creator workloads. Support teams should be briefed on driver and game-update requirements, because software availability and correct settings will shape the customer experience as much as the GPU badge.
